Flare's twoleg nest

Flare jumped up on the fence and sat down. Her firey red pelt the shone like flame in the sunlight. "Hmm, Its so boring here. I wish something interesting would happen..." She meowed to herself.

On the opposite side of the two fences, a small kit stood, fighting her collar. She noticed the kittypet on the other side of the fence. "Hello?" Dawn called to the other cat. She wanted to leave this twoleg place again.

"Hello-wait Sunshine? Is that you?" Flare said, there was suprise in her voice. "You're a lot smaller than I remember you were." She said looking at Dawn.

"Sunshine?" She tilted her head and then remembered where the name was from. "No, that's my mom!" Dawn squeaked, "I'm Lu-Dawn." The kit mewled to the kittypet, stopping herself from saying her kittypet name.

"Oh, nice to meet you Dawn. I am Flare." Flare stated. "It looks like you could use a little bit of help with your collar." She said hopping down on Dawn's side of the fence.

"You knew my mom though?" Dawn asked, tilting her head. "And yes, can you please help me?" The kit squeaked, looking at Flare with big green kitten eyes.

"Yea, I knew your mom." Flare meowed. "Alright, just stay still and I will have your collar off in a second." She said and bit down on Dawn's collar. Flare pulled at the collar and it slipped off of Dawn's neck. "There you go Dawn." She said and dropped her collar.

"Thanks!" The kit squeaked, and gazed towards the forest longingly. The she-kit darted over to the twoleg nest glass door and looked in, making sure it was still opened slightly. "Twilight!!!" She called in, looking around for the other she-cat.

"What" Twilight asked from inside of the nest, trying to get her collar off. She pushed her head through the glass covering the hole in the nest.

Flare looked at Dawn curiously and wondered who Twilight was. "Who's Twilight?" She asked before seeing Twilight stick her head through the door.

"She's Twilight!" The she-kit squeaked cheerily, pointing to the she-cat who just stuck her head out. "Do you think you could get Twilight's collar off too?" Dawn asked, tilting her head adorably.

"Sure." Flare said padding over to Twilight. "Hold still okay?" She asked and padded over to her and grabed her collar between her teeth.

"Alright." Twilight said, digging her claws into the grassy ground as Flare bit her collar and slid it off. "Thanks." She said shaking her ruffled pelt.

"Now what do we do Twilight? The collars are off and we're outside..." Dawn asked, tilting her head as she waited for the she-cat to answer.

"Maybe you too should go to the forest." Flare suggested. "I've never been to the forest but that's what you smell like." She said.

"Good idea Flare." Twilight said and then looked at Dawn. "You think we should go back?" She asked.

"What about you?" Dawn asked, tilting her head at Flare. The young she-kit did want to go back, but didn't want to leave the she-cat who got the collars off.

"Uhh, I don't know if I could live out there..." Flare said. "I mean, like finding shelter and stuff... I have always lived in the twolegplace." She meowed.

"I think if someone teaches you you would be fine." Twilight said looking at Flare. "I don't think that your twoleg would be mouse-brained enough to come after you, or any of us if we hurry." She added.

"I'm just a kit and I've been ok since Hornet left me..." Dawn mewled, looking at Flare with large green eyes.

"Umm, maybe i will go with you." Flare said looking at Dawn. If she can make it maybe I can too... She thought.

"Okay then." Twilight mewed. "Let's go before your twoleg notices we escaped." She added before springing onto the fence which bowed slightly beneath her weight.

"Yea!!" Dawn squeaked, wiggling under the fence. She was small enough to fit under it, but it was still a bit difficult. After a moment of wiggling, she shook her fur from the other side.

Flare leaped over the fence easily. "Okay, now we go that way?" She asked pointing to the forest with her paw.

"Yes." Twilight answered with a nod. She jumped down on the side of the fence with Dawn and Flare.

"Let's go before it comes out!!!" The kit squeaked, gazing behind her. Dawn wanted to get far from the twoleg place and never come back.

"Okay!" Flare and Twilight said together. They started padding to the forest."Come on Dawn let's go!" Flare called over shoulder.

Dawn darted in front of them, glad to be back out here. Her siblings were still kittypets, but she didn't like that life at all.

"Slow down Dawn, let us catch up!" Flare said. Picking up her pace to a trot to try and catch up to the kitten.

"Yea, slow down Dawn!" Twilight lengthened her stride to keep pace with them too. "Where should we go when we reach the forest? My little clearing?" She asked.

"Sorry!" Dawn squeaked, slowing down to a trot. "And I guess so, there's not really anywhere else to go." The kit mewled in response to Twilight.

"Ok then, lead the way Twilight!" Flare mewed. She purred I'm finnaly going to see outside of the twolegplace! She thought.

Twilight took the lead and padded softly to the forest. "Don't fall too far behind me okay?" She said, hearing a twoleg in the distance. She didn't know weather or not it was the twoleg they had escaped from but she did not want to find out.
